…hands on, authentic, arts integrated experiences in the beautiful French Countryside!
ITINERARY:
DAY 1: WEDNESDAY 19 August - 2PM Check in - tour of Moulin SAGE and garden, introductions and retreat overview, Walking Tour of Treignac, Indian Dance Workshop, Filipino Dinner, Open Mic/ share your art
DAY 2: THURSDAY 20 AUG Meditation, Welcome to France Brunch with fresh baked croissants, delicious local fruit and preserves, fresh eggs (from our chickens), and local specialties. , Master Teaching Artists Workshop: Embodied Ecology with Performing Artist, Sangeeta Isvaran (India), SNACK: Charcuterie at the Beach, free time, Teacher and Teaching Artist teams collaboration time to create workshops/projects on Sustainability and ECO-Responsibility. Workshop: Traditional Indigenous Drumming, by Chantal Changnon of the Muskeg Lake Cree Nation. Option to offer or take community workshops in the afternoon. Dinner: Indian Buffet and Firepit in the Moulin SAGE garden
DAY 3: FRIDAY 21 AUG Meditation, continental breakfast, Master Teaching Artists Workshops. Set up and prep for festival. LUNCH at the lake, kayak/beach : summer rolls/asian salad bar, Teacher and Teaching Artist teams collaborate to create workshops/projects on Sustainability and ECO-Responsibility. FRIDAY EVENING - Community Concert at local pub in Treignac
DAY 4: SATURDAY 22 AUG - Meditation, continental breakfast, workshops and final prep and set up for MIX MIX FEST! LUNCH: baguette sandwiches/salad bar. Participants lead workshops/perform for the public. Artists/Crafters are welcome to have a festival booth to sell/show their work, DINNER ON YOUR OWN - select from festival food stands, Artivists Concert and Music Jam
DAY 5: SUNDAY 23 AUG - Meditation, continental breakfast, morning workshops, MIX MIX FEST Finale! Dinner PERFORMANCE: Kandrati Dance Troup Performance led by Classical Indian Dancer, Sangeeta Isvaran and Katradi Dance Troup
DAY 6: MONDAY 24 AUG -Meditation, continental breakfast, fest clean up/wrap up, check out, farewell brunch. Option to join those traveling to ITAC Conference in Belgium. Option to go to Hot Springs Spa for €30 euro 2 hrs.
COSTS: We strive to make this retreat as affordable as possible. We welcome community sharing of skills, labor, time, and talent to help us keep costs down. If you would like to volunteer to help with preparing a meal, to work on the set up or clean up team, or offering a workshop, yoga class, or something else - please let us know on the registration form. TOTAL RETREAT COST €400 (€100 deposit, €300 DUE August 1st)
INCLUDES: 45 credit hours professional development (3 CPD credits certificate), all meals except for Saturday festival, coffee, tea, and snacks, institute supplies, 5 nights shared accommodations (2 to 3 people per apartment), singles available (at Treignac Brasserie Hotel next door) for additional cost of €75/night, or tent camping at no additional cost - tent and single mattress provided. DOES NOT INCLUDE: transportation
